    My only major kitchen disaster involved carrot cake. I stupidly followed a recipe I knew didn't sound right. Self-rising flour and baking powder.

    Self, I said, that doesn't sound right. Self rising flour has baking powder in it.
    Myself said back, but maybe there's a reason for it. It's in the recipe there in black and white.
    Maybe you have a point, self. I'll follow the instructions as they are written.

    Batter overflowed the pan. Small fire ensued. Lesson learned. Follow instincts, not recipes.

    Unless I'm mistaken, but I consider Noah Turk and Noah the same requesters. I mean they even have the same patterns of random blocking and rejecting. Or am I delusional? Having said that, both block, and both are trouble.

    @Hummingbirdee I was looking for carrot cake recipes and found a blogger who reminds me of you. Hummingbird in her blog title, bakes, calls herself a Professional Cat Herder, has severe GI issues, mentions her husband and mother-in-law. If there wasn't a picture of her on the blog I would think it was you.
