    QUESTION?
    Okay, FOOD thing. Pork roast, 5lbs. Cooked in slowcooker 8hrs till done. Butter, Au jus,ranch powder, pepperoncinis. This DELICIOUS meal was packed into clean airtight containers. THEN ACCIDENTALLY LEFT OUT for like 6? hours. WOULD IT BE SAFE TO EAT?! I really don't want to waste it because it's supposed to be my weeks lunches. It was cold in the house the whole night. Husband says he thinks it's fine because of how salty it is and that it was stored lid on tight the entire time. It reached fully cooked said meat thermom as well. I'm thinking of still eating it but just wanted y'alls ideas!

    Wouldn't it be fine as long as you cook it to a high enough internal temp to kill whatever started to grow?

    But yeah i would eat it and prob just make it a bit more well done to be careful.

    From a legit food safety stand point throw it out. From a don't want to waste it stand point it'll probably be okay if you make sure to reheat it nice and hot before you eat it....and don't feed it to small kids or old people or people who are sick who might not be able to deal a worst case scenario from it.
