I believe there was a screener, but it wasn't clear which questions were screeners, so I had to commit more time to the HIT, since I can usually duck back out of the faster if they are obvious.

sorry for the late reply! I ended up rejecting a small percentage of submissions on the grounds that instructions weren't followed and thus the data was unusable for my study. For your reference, in Qualtrics, requesters can record the time a respondent spends on a given page of a survey. I made rejections only in the rare case where a respondent clicked past a portion of the survey in less than 10 seconds. In your case, you only spent 3(!) seconds on the consent form, and therefore you were not properly briefed. I felt that this was a generous cutoff and that rejection in these cases was justified and thus not subject to overturning.

 

Time spent on the page designated for putting in your worker ID is indicative of copy/pasting. We do not allow copy/pasting on our surveys.
