My kid actually just "found" $76 dollars in his room.

He's never taken apart the graduation money tassel I made him for 8th grade graduation last year. He just hung it up on a door and completely forgot about it (stopped seeing it because it literally hangs 3" above where he gets his socks from every day).

I'm wondering how many years that's going to hang around before he takes it apart for the cash.

If it's still in his room when he leaves for college, the rules say it reverts back to the House. Which, in this case, is me.

 

I picked up a pile of cat puke this morning using an old cloth diaper and then a spray bottle and new cloth diaper to remove the stain.

 

People always ask us why we have baby wipes everywhere but not kids. The answer is cats.

 

I set off a CT worthy chaos bomb of lysol.

Ought to cover all the bases with that. lol

I really cannot stomach the thought of using cloth diapers and then washing my own clothes in the same machine

 

So. Very. True.

I never used them as diapers. Only burp rags (omg, so effective! Totally catches that puke that would otherwise run down the back of your shoulder and you wouldn't notice it until you've been out in public for 5 hours with this runny stain down the back of your shoulder...)

Once kiddo stopped puking on me, they became pet issue picker uppers. They work AMAZINGLY WELL to wick up pee from the carpet. It's like there's a magnetic force pulling it out of the carpet fibers and into the diaper.

You think poop stays IN the diapers?

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You'll be washing TONS of poopy clothes with your clothes. (You can always run a quick rinse cycle of poop clothes first, then add all the rest).

 

my dog is the cat puke cleaner upper, at least for the first part of that equation. he gets straight up in the cats face the second they start making the noise, and catches it damn near before it hits the floor. mmm, hot lunch.

 

boy, i don't have kids and even i know you're in for a rough ride if this is your concern

I know it's the trend but I HATED THEM. No judging here.
