    could it be cat herpes? mine is 90% blind because of it. she gets flare-ups with weather changes so it could look like an allergy.

    (this is actually the better of the bad, it used to get way worse and way goopier, but with enough meds and care, this is as bad as it gets anymore.)

    the vet says it's rarely as aggressive as it is for her, but she got hit particularly hard because she was too sick as a baby to fight it. when it first started, she had completely healthy eyes that would just get goopy and cloudy and they thought it was allergies, then it kept getting worse and worse until she almost completely lost her eyesight before they caught onto what it was. hopefully it's not what your baby has, but if so, i can recommend some things!

    I don't think it's cat herpes because when his eye gets bad it gets swollen and watery, I've taken him to the vet and they just say it's an issue with his 3rd eye lid. Like he can literally go from looking fine to having his eye completely shut in hours.

    I got mine down to about .69 per cat/day, presuming I'm able to get things at the best price. I've had a couple real messed up months, tho :emoji_sob:

    Scraggles and his garbo mouth and inability to eat hard foods really threw a wrench in my budget. He cost more like a 1+ a day, but I keep that boy flush in chicken livers and cottage cheese. :emoji_laughing:

    Apparently herpes is common in cats. When I had a kitty he used get runny goopy eyes. The vet I was seeing gave him steroid eye drops on multiple occasions. I ended up switching vets and the new one suggested it was herpes and had me give him a supplement, I think it was l-lysine, that cleared it up and he never had any more problems with it.
