I'll have you know I'm perfectly fine making $12/hr, as that is the average pay on mturk. Anything above $15/hr is exceedingly rare.

 

Fun fact: there is actually a whole platform built where they do exactly that, except totally free IIRC. They contribute to other researchers studies and vice-versa, but ofc there is no tracking of who gives the most reciprocally, so yeah it happens
