I'm feeling very confused with that last post.

 

I mean, 15 minutes for .20 is the one I shared earlier today. You can't tell me a single researcher would be okay with sitting down and doing that even if it's for the good of humanity. Here kiddo! A bright shiny quarter for your 15 minutes of fully attention on this hell slog of bubbles!

I'll have you know I'm perfectly fine making $12/hr, as that is the average pay on mturk. Anything above $15/hr is exceedingly rare.

 

Fun fact: there is actually a whole platform built where they do exactly that, except totally free IIRC. They contribute to other researchers studies and vice-versa, but ofc there is no tracking of who gives the most reciprocally, so yeah it happens

You're not being paid $100k/yr + benefits to not do any actual work.. probably helps in some of their cases.
