You can try feeding it once a day if it's at room temperature. If you overfeed it, in essence, you can smother out the live bacteria.

I've also thought about putting it directly on my baseboard heater thingies, but I'm afraid it'd get too hat and cook. Maybe I'll try moving it to the floor near the baseboard, wrapped in a towel or something. The house stays around 60 degrees, but the baseboards get so hot it's almost uncomfortable to touch.
