    I used to volunteer at this animal shelter and they had these litter boxes with grate on the inside. You picked it up and the litter fell through, but the poop stayed on top. Litter got everywhere, but since it was a shelter and the whole floor would get cleaned twice a day, it made sense. Maybe if they made those that were less messy it would be good for regular people.
