Hahahahaha we had a mini heart attack today. I was starting a load of laundry and halfway through the spin cycle it starts making a terrible galloping sound. LOUD thud thud thud thud thud when spinning. We stop the load, drain it, start taking things out thinking that it's maybe too full? Run a smaller thin load, still loud THUD THUD THUD. He gets involved. Reaches down to the bottom and pulls out his fucking leatherman multi-tool. I apparently hadn't dug deep enough into his pockets while loading the machine and it had fallen out. The washing machine is fine. He's got his tool drying now. I'm over here sheepish as all hell. Time to double triple check all pockets before they get washed!

 

Husband is a contractor... over the past 20 years I have washed all manner of tools, tape measures, pencils, etc... this week it was a couple of drill bits and a mechanical pencil
I usually doublecheck - but he has a zillion pockets so easy to miss stuff hahaha
