    If you've earned >20k/year thorugh mturk, Amazon Payments will send you a 1099, but individual requesters don't.

    Requesters never touch your tax info. Make more than 20k or w/e it is now and you will get a 1099 in the mail like the rest of us.

    You didn't get one obviously so just use last year's total earnings as amazon mturk or w/e you want to call it but you do need to pay taxes on that even without a 1099.

    Yeah, that's what I figured. The new $20K number is so far removed from the previous $600 number too, that it confuses me. But regardless, I'm nowhere near making that kind of money lol.

    I've been filing taxes since I started working here, and I'm planning to do this year's this weekend. Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks guys. :emoji_thumbsup:

    The survey brief at the front says this will take thirty minutes and I'm seeing people returning it for that reason. Don't know if the researcher copy-pasted from another survey, but this DEFINITELY does not take that long. Just your standard "choose something, answer some radio button questions + demographics" survey that should take you under 2 minutes.[/div]
