Oh man, my heart stopped for a second there. I saw the qualifications for this hit and it said "Masters Exists" and I submitted another hit from the same requester since it showed she was new, but she must have posted multiple hits at the same time. I thought I had masters for a second there and got excited, then realized my hit was different.

As a 'permanent newbie'. I sometimes wonder about HITs like this.
If we believe the requester's 'effective hourly rate' (which of course we can't), we're talking $10/hr, which isn't totally shabby,
but isn't anything to write home about either. You almost have to accept this figure as a base line, since you're dealing
with 50/50 odds as to whether it was over or under estimated.
So now the time becomes the real problem, and it's double-trouble, since it's pretty clear you're not going to knock this one
out extra quickly, and could possibly be working more efficiently elsewhere.
I guess what I'm thinking is that longer than average HITs are sort of a gamble unless you've got some trusted feedback
(inside information) about them. Otherwise, your stock portfolio isn't diversified enough!

It's situational. If I had an empty queue I would've worked on it earnestly and finished it even if it took as long as they say. Too bad they posted precisely when my board is flooded with guaranteed high hourly. I'm grinding down the time right now but it doesn't look like I'll reach 0 queue before their timer runs out. Oh well.
