Oh, I hear you on the tourists. I am from metro-Detroit, but have lived in Maine for more than 20 years now but tourists were a new thing for us.... unbelievably there weren't that many tourists in Detroit when I grew up lol.

I live in a Mid-coast town that has a love/hate relationship with tourists and it's been particularly bad since everything has been semi-shut down this summer. I completely understand the sentiment of "Please don't take it to heart, we just don't like people with a lot of money coming here and acting like they own the place." I 100% get that. We are in-town and finally scraped together enough money to fix the roof. Also our appliances all failed and water came through our living room ceiling so... we definitely are not in the "we own the place" category.

My friends are lobstering families - they are struggling. Everyone is struggling.

Also I was a booking agent for bands for many years so I get that the "shine" wears off. But sounds like you had a super cool opportunity most people didn't have growing up and I'm glad sometimes you DO think you're the sh*t.

Pros:
Its super simple once you start, since it uses a lot of the same scenarios.
Good pay for the work involved, not sure how many you can do though (I stopped after $6 bonus)

Cons:
Relying on bonus pay for the extra work. So I'm putting faith in the requester that they will pay out, it was easy enough to do, and if I had more experience with them I probably would have gone much longer.
