I changed one thing about my MTurk setup and caught that $45 HIT yesterday. Coincidence? Maybe.
Good luck to those who still haven't caught it. I hope someone who really needs the money catches it.

 

Is the message link in the hit a redirect to the MTurk contact form or is it just a link to their email/website?

sometimes requesters are incredibly out of their element. nobody would be here doing a 60 cent survey if this were the case.

No, because along with that info they also get your full name and the email they now know you have tied to your Amazon account all associated with your worker id.

Completely fucked, and Amazon should straight up ban TurkPrime for leveraging the platform in this manner. Which you have to assume TP knows is the risk of pulling this kind of stunt.. so.. weird.

 

As Terp said, the contact-requester form ... and the two that I checked were addressed to "StudyLab" with the SurveyComet ID in the URL.

I don't listen to "should" anymore. I just do what I want when there's no harm in that.

The only downside was my unwillingness or discomfort about answering some of the questions. So I didn't answer the ones that I didn't want to answer. Ain't gunna, even though I "should".
