So, I was coming home yesterday morning at like 2 am and thought I saw a bag in the road. It wasn't a bag, it was super tiny kittens.

Oh my gosh! What happened? Were they just in the middle of the road?

 

Yes! They were directly in front of my house. It's a miracle I spotted them. We have a lot of strays in my area, so I'm not sure if they're strays and something happened to the mom or if someone dropped them off. I keep taking them outside in case she's still around and hears them, but no luck yet.

 

Wow. I'm glad you saw them and that's awesome you keep trying to find the mom. How many are there? Are they eating at all? Is there a shelter you can take them too if the mom doesn't show up?

 

There are two. One ran away and I haven't been able to find it either. But they're eating great! Our shelter is a high kill shelter, so I'm trying to find a rescue to take them.

 

Glad they are eating! Ugh about the high kill shelter. Any chance you have a local area message board you could post on and see if anyone can rescue? Or possibly some local vets that might have alternate resources?

 

I'm waiting for a FB group to accept my request, so that I can post in there. I'll try calling my vet tomorrow. I've raised orphaned kittens before, but I just don't have the time right now. So much work!

I'm in a rural area so we see this a lot. I get just as angry about it now as I did years ago. Glad you spotted them.
