Me every time I run out of Coke:

 

Hello all... Just stopping by to say hello and update everyone. So, my brother died a week ago and it has been hell for me here. Time seems to whiz by and creep by at the same time. Now I am sitting here in my brother's apartment wondering how to not become homeless. Everyone I knew on a personal level has died and I literally have no one to help me at all. What I decided was that above all else, I need transportation. Since I am disabled, that means an electric scooter (the 2 wheel variety). I am trying to raise some money from my old friends via Facebook with a little success. I have a goal of $500 and have raised $160 so far. I feel weird asking everyone I know for money, but what else can I do? So if I am successful in getting a decent scooter, I will be able to go to DHS for assistance and get rental and utility assistance as well. But I can't walk there and using a smartphone is almost impossible at times. Just in case, if there is anyone here that can help, that would be appreciated so much, and paid back when I am in a better position. If you can help with anything at all, leave a DM and we'll talk about it.

Back to my brother... He had colorectal cancer 3 years ago and got his colon removed with a new technique that doesn't require a colostomy bag. That seemed to have done well until about 6 months ago when he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his intestines. They gave him a year to live. He had had 4-5 heart attacks over the last 10 years and so also had congestive heart failure. Just a week before he died, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The pneumonia, with congestive heart failure and the effects of the chemo he was on became too much for him. He died trying to go out and make some money driving for Uber. I was in a state of shock for a week, and still am a bit. This isn't supposed to be a plea for money, I feel I've known many of you for years and needed to say something.

So there it is in a nutshell... I am hoping to get back to turking soon, but I have so much to do, and no way to do it....
