@AlexZ Question, I know someone who's trying to start on MTurk, and I want to help them, but its been so long I don't know how. Do non-QBC finders/forkers/etc still exist now that MTS has been pulled by Google?
I haven't really done any serious turking since early 2022 (I'm just here to annoy you guys hehe), so I'm not entirely up-to-date with all this stuff. But from what I can tell, Panda Crazy Max extension (catching HITs) for Chrome seems to still be working. No idea if HIT Forker script (scraping HITs) for Tampermonkey still works though. That said, you can still use MTS in Edge without any issues (at least for now). And I would probably recommend going that route, especially for someone brand new. But honestly, MTurk is kinda on its last legs. Not sure starting from 0 without any closed quals is even worth it anymore tbh, unless someone is really dedicated. Prolific and CloudResearch Connect seem like the go-to places these days. And you don't need any tools for those.
I have to agree... If you automatically have a masters qual and some closed quals it might be worth it. I moved on and I am making 5-10x more than I ever made with Mturk. I haven't even visited the site in over 6 months. Lol
