Amazon Mechanical Turk] A note about MTurk shutting down

Hello -

As you're all aware, MTurk is shutting down. Many of you have asked
about continuing on other platforms. We have no short-term plans to
pursue this, but will likely explore that option in the future.

We are setting up a Google poll where you can volunteer your worker
IDs on other platforms if you wish , and we will message you about
that soon. In the meantime, it would be helpful to know which platforms
you feel would best match the tasks we’ve posted here on Mturk over
the years. Feel free to reply to this message with your thoughts.

I did a bland run of the mill psych survey this weekend and all I could think is that it has to be some dust, ancient computer in a university library basement that has a "run_my_phd_mturk_survey.py" script running accidentally anytime the power cycles and the account just hasn't happened to run out of balance yet

only explanation that makes any sense
