Oh I couldn't agree more. And the coolest part of that is you and I both know they're probably just excited for him and the game of hockey and not at all thinking about their stats or legacies, because that's the type of guys they are.

And it's why I hold a special frustration for super talented guys who are so frickin' lazy and immature. There's never been room for that in hockey, and even less so now with so much incredible talent who not only shine like Crosby, but the grinders who work hard to crack the lineup every night. And when I say lazy, I'm specifically thinking about cherry picker whiner brats like Kane and Kovalchuk (obviously no longer, thank the heavens). Kane is so much of why I can't stand to watch the Blackhawks - knowing how talented he is and relying on cherry picking and bullshitting? Get out of here. And Kovalchuk, don't even get me started on Mr. One Timer. Dude could thread a needle blindfolded, and he plopped in front of the net waiting for one timers. At first I thought it was shit coaching, and maybe it partially was, but as captain you've gotta step forward. What a damn waste. There's just no room for being talented and lazy, it's infuriating. uhhhhh /rant
