Isnt it great to be making 6 figures then drop a shit load to do something else. I was a Systems Engineer for a large not-profit. All I did was recommend new toys for the server room and keep the servers, ironmail andCisco products running great then I had to go onto disability for a number of reasons

 

How are you going to have a five hour video game stream and not say one single word?

Depends on a number of things, including community enthusiasm.

I've already finished the outline of a "basic -> intermediate" course oriented towards writing basic scripts (~1,000 lines or less) for individual HITs. I'm also planning one more course after that, an "intermediate -> advanced" one, oriented towards writing more complicated scripts (~1,000-10,000 lines) along the lines of Panda Crazy, Turkmaster, MTurk Suite, HIT Database, etc.

I want to do some basic acoustic treatment in my RV so that my recording setup sounds loud and clear, because I'm a perfectionist like that.

I could probably skip that to bump up the release dates, if I was content with simply getting my message across with webcam audio.

But "good enough" isn't really good enough for me. I'm a competitive person, and I'd sleep easier knowing that the product I released was the best it could possibly be.

Obviously, working on this would subtract from my mTurk wage, so if there isn't much enthusiasm, I'll only be working on it when mTurk is slow, when I'm feeling productive, and when the GF/daughter aren't around to add noise to my recording.

No. I'm aiming for Udemy-bestseller quality, and planning on setting it at Udemy-bestseller price.

But it'll definitely be affordable (~$10), and my goal is to have people thinking by the end of the course that I charged only half of what I should have.

Honestly, I refused to work at all for months.

After making six figures last year and doing maybe 5-30 minutes of work any given day to earn it, every hourly wage felt beneath me. I turned down $20/hr. jobs because they felt like "poor mans' work".

So I just played video games and sold a lot of the cool things I'd bought in order to make ends meet, until I ran out of cool things I was willing to part with. That was the beginning of my life on mTurk.

All in all, I'm kinda glad things went the way they did, though, because the chain of events reignited my passion for coding by giving me something practical to write code for.

 

I have a customer coming by today to get word files off of a crashed computer. I will make $40 for 10 minutes work - we are so underpaid
