I lost the Masters qual. a couple of months ago -- almost as much as I miss the money, I miss not having to worry about CAPTCHAs.

 

What is this devilry?

I thought I was fancy with a foot-actuated one I pulled out of rich-people trash.

 

My dog can step on the pedal and open it himself. I actually had it narrowed down to a few but I waited for sales and this one went on sale for the best price so far, so that was my fancy decision process right there!

Metal trash cans are stupid expensive!

 

How do you lose masters? I didn't even know that was possible.

Yeah I was talking to a few other masters and I don't do more than a few hundred tester hits on a new requester. Perhaps 500? If I'm feeling really bold.

 

Thank you for how TurkerView is in the dashboard @ChrisTurk ! It's so easy to leave a quick review for a HIT and I love that we don't have to leave the dashboard to review them. It's a huge QOL improvement.

That's probably the smart way to do it. I don't have master's but if there is batch up I haven't done before I typically do maybe 50 to be safe. I don't have as large a number of completed HITs as most people and wan't to keep my approval rate high.

Sure it cost me some potential earnings but I'd like to have masters someday and keep it. In the long term it's a smart decision.
