Were you the one that linked that the other day? I couldn't remember where I heard it, but I've played it a few times now.

Hey yeah, this reminds me of some stuff I used to listen to. It's been awhile but I used to listen to Artreyu, Norma jean, etc a lot. Once I hit college I got more into electronic and lesser known indie rock. Over the last year though my metal and rock love has reawakened and I've been jamming to old stuff but I am trying to find out what's kind of... the newer good stuff? I'm a bit hipster about music and don't necessarily like mainstream. I just wanna know what I've missed out on in the last.... 6 or 7 years that's worth looking into :)

Sure did! Met this band booking shows a long time ago. Super awesome dudes. Great live shows.

This is one of those albums where I don't skip any songs (because I love it and nostalgia):

@Rsch45 asked "Anyone partake in the madness last night?"

Naw, man. I am from Philly but I'm totally not a sports guy. I was one of the few people at work not pissed about working on Superbowl night, but I did listen to KYW News Radio on my drive up to see if they won. And then on the parade day, I was downtown but on the other side of the Schuylkill River getting my son evaluated for Autism at Drexel. It took about 5 months to get that very appointment so I wouldn't cancel it.

He's now officially diagnosed on the spectrum. Which opens up a lot of doors for his treatment now.

We were concerned because he is now 3, and has ~20 word vocabulary and doesn't put sentences together. But since we started teaching him ASL he is communicating a bit better.

He's also a hyper little independent thing, we started a new daycare on Monday and he just got kicked by Friday because said they couldn't handle him. But now with the official diagnosis, we can get more specialized special needs daycare to suit his situation.

That's great you have a diagnosis now. Seems there's a lot more resources these days for spectrum kids than there used to be, so now that you know, things should be smoother hopefully :)

True. We already have 3 therapists for him during the week coming to see him. With the diagnosis, the agency we're coordinating everything through can now work on placing him in where we really want him to attend.

Awesome! I hope that works out! <3

I worked at toys r us in college and saw a decent amount of austistic kids. One that always stuck with me was an autistic and blind baby. Like, never has my heart broke so much. He was super obsessed with this display we had of some Leap Frog toy and we were about to replace it anyway and ended up just giving it to him.

But yeah @Cosmo idk how much the store has changed, but we always had guides of great toys for autistic kids available there so if you are close to a TRU it might be worth checking out :) We had a pamphlet we'd give out.
