04/13 - Ferocious Friday!

No one wants to discuss politics, there's hundreds, maybe even thousands of other places you can do that online. Nothing ruins a cozy forum atmosphere faster than politics, except maybe religion.

 

That's a small subsection of the forum that we try not to kink shame but every once in a while @Buzby or @leafs4_cup make a joke that is just too funny to delete

Nah, you cant quarantine that shit, better to just disallow it entirely. If you absolutely must, keep it to PMs. I don't see any particular reason why it should be a thing here when it's already prevalent everywhere else you look on the internet.

It always bleeds over. And besides the same outcome is inevitable: everyone learns everyone else's stupid POV on the world & then hate each other anyway.

Just look at MTC, their politics thread is basically "fuck that other side" and anyone who ever tries to join that website & chat politics from the "wrong" POV gets bangbanged by 30 people who have self-selected themselves to be there. Its not even like an on purpose gangbang b/c 99% of that site is all upstanding & lovely folks but its just what happens when one side is overloaded (which it naturally will end up being since this is the Internet & all).

Here you might find out so-and-so hates tacos and look at them crooked for the rest of their days, but you'd have to be a potato to actually hate them over it. Politics is a whole different ballgame & not even worth having exist here.
