I am a liveaboard, and I manage and reside in a marina in North Carolina, located on a leg of the river right next to the Sound, about 25 inland from the Atlantic Ocean. I live on a Trojan "mini-yacht" powerboat. I love the water, and being close to nature keep my spirit balanced and energized.

I have several jobs in the area besides the marina; I work at a nonprofit art gallery and cultural center, as Facilities Director, Events Director, and IT Specialist. I also home school a fourth grade boy, and while he is not my son, he is definitely a part of my heart.

I love hurricanes, and like to take my sailboat out in the storms. I am wildly imaginative, and enjoy many artistic hobbies. I have a thirst for knowledge and am currently engrossed in learning java coding.

I am very active in the duck community, and I feed flocks of ducks; I have done so for years and my marina is on in the migration route. I normally feed a flock of about 40 ducks, but during migration I have flocks as large as 100 ducks stop for dinner. I have many water turtles in the river who I have fed for years and can hand feed; they are yellow bellied sliders and red bellied sliders. I also take care of a gang of feral cats about a mile from the marina, feeding them and sometimes trapping them and taking them in for medical treatment if needed. I am actually in process of co-founding a cat rescue and sanctuary, thanks to my boss, who is the primary founder and benefactor. She has employed me to capture, care for and assist in rehoming two litters of feral kittens that were closely related to my crew of feral cats.

I have one cat of my own, Rambo; who is currently on cat parole, as he had to be incarcerated in a kennel by 10 or 11 weeks old due to his violent and destructive behavior. Rambo was never a feral cat, and my feral cats behave much better than him, lol. Rambo likes to hunt people, mainly me; play in the sink - he loves water and getting wet!; and hiding under blankets, rugs or coats and making monster noises as he slowly approaches his target, mainly me, before he springs into an attack. He is a maniac cat, but I love him.
