    Sometimes it's just kind of obvious lol. Like I just did one with coupons and budgeting and they were pretty clearly trying to see if you would choose necessities or garbage.

    I generally just answer honestly and I've never been rejected for doing so.

    However to be fair 90% of the time I don't put that much effort into figuring out the deeper meaning. Usually, if I don't know I just type something like not sure/don't know/no clue/im too stupid to know deeper meanings to surveys about granola please stop asking me what this survey is about.

    Yup! Example, if they're doing a version of the Asch Conformity Experiment ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asch_conformity_experiments ) and you say "you're doing a version of the Asch experiment" well the whole thing doesn't work if you know about it.
