    Yes to this. I had a dog who would put his front paws on the top of a 6 foot redwood wall and peer over....one day he jumped it. Didn't shock us, since Great Danes do pretty high hurdles in competition. The guys collecting the garbage, however, were all kinds of upset. A 200 lb Dane is a terrifying thing to see coming after you. After this incident, the city announced that the garbage had to be placed on the street and not near the houses. Wonder why.

    Somehow, we could keep the dogs in on the farm with a 4 foot fence, but they once figured out how to escape from the totally fenced in airport we worked at. We've still never figured out how they did it and it only happened the one time.

    Well, and then the time they snuck out of a totally different airport when we turned our backs, because they smelled a bbq next door. They practically refused to leave because they made new friends who were just hand feeding them hotdogs. I think my dogs gain super canine ability when they smell bqq.

    Just got back from driving kiddo to school. Walked outside a little unaware and was smacked in the face with some very cold air. Got in the car, the temp thingy said it was 33 out there. What? No! Why? My part of CA doesn't need this cold of weather!!

    Kiddo put his car blanket over his legs and said, "Well, compared to back east this is nothing. At least our corneas aren't going to freeze!"

    I'm going to have to put on a second layer to go for my morning walk. Udderly ridiculous.
