I'm basically just the craziest cat lady of all time and this is what I get for having two ferals fixed by a vet I have never met before, because they had openings sooner than my regular vet.

It'll be fine. I'm just peeved I had to deal with this shit and now I have to convince Coug to come inside the house and acclimate him to all my other cats way ahead of schedule, cause otherwise they were just gonna take Coug to animal control and then the kill shelter for the county, since he wasn't mine and such. So, I decided, in that moment, that he is now my cat...until I can maybe find him a home with his sister, cause he's starting to get used to people and even let the cops and animal control pet him, and I don't want to just undo all of that at once by having him end up in a shelter, terrified AF.

Had to call matt and be like, "Hey, we now have 6 cats and the county will be performing random welfare checks to make sure I'm not secretly hoarding like 20 more cats and 20 dogs out of sight!" To be fair, animal control was SUPER NICE to me about 5 minutes into the check, cause I have a full blown tree for a scratcher, a running water fountain, a mountain of wet food, etc. They were petting Scraggles and Bearnie and the dogs were chipper, and I was baking cookies to boot. It was just very off putting to open my door and see cops! I've never done anything wrong, and I kinda melt down over the idea that authority figures think I've done something wrong.

I hate when people you don't even know try and tell you about your pet. In fact, it makes me angry. I've never had someone go as far as "unfit parent" but I can only imagine how blood boiling that would be.
