    For discussion sake... I feel like 4GB is plenty as long as you recognize that's what you have and work around it. Ofc I'm saying that eating 87% of my current RAM lol. But throw half of the 4GB down the drain to the OS/core garbage then figure 250MB for tabs running scripts leaves you 3-4 tabs worth of functional memory for workflow.

    You can't game and alt/tab out to your workflow. Probably can't Netflix & work, but he has a system dedicated to entertainment anyway.

    JS is going to be what kills his shit as far as scripts go, and it's all CPU cycles trying to do 800 different things at once right? 1.6ghz has got to be painful to load a qualtrics survey in with their 8,000 tracker bullshit js files running + forker/pc running in the background no? Yuckkkk

    Idk, I'm not a CS major, but I "feel" it more when stuff is eating my CPU more than when I'm getting close to the RAM limit and you'd have more control over the latter. Hard to make scripts perform better unless you want to rewrite them from scratch lol.

    Serious reply: Yeah, javascript scripts will suck your CPU if they're configured poorly, Part of it needs to be looked at from a perspective of "what is going to be most cost effective to increase my performance" and the answer to that question is going to be RAM because dude's on a laptop and usually you're not going to get to upgrade the CPU on that where $50 for a stick of RAM is probably going to be a noticeable improvement.

    Kind of funny chain of events...we're talking about armadillos and having to call maintenance meanwhile I'm outside building a makeshift roof over an armadillo burrow in my backyard so it doesn't flood the poor thing out when the rain/hail comes.
