    but they are such a cult vehicle though. i have an '01 cherokee sport with super low mileage that i've been waiting to win the lottery to play with. but instead i just get complete randoms knocking on my door at least once a week asking if i'd sell it.

    Oh yeah, @Confirmed Robot
    A locked diff is terrible on road. If this is going to be driven a lot you'd want either an automatic locker of some type of selectable locker that would be turned on when you go off road. Otherwise a limited slip will get you decent off road performance while still being good on road.
