    There's very few actual sportsballer jobs out there relative to say, accountants. A Sportsballers career lasts, like...5-10 years tops. Whereas your standard accouantant dude is going to be working for like 30-40 years, maybe more. That, coupled with the ungodly amount of skill and specalized training that goes into it...it makes some kind of sense.

    people used to use "hard block" and "soft block" a long time ago. the (very wrong) theory was that if you got an email saying you were mturk blocked, it was a hard block and it went against your account. if you didn't get an email, it was a soft block, and didn't damage your account. that was 100% untrue. a block is a block is a block.

    requesters can, however give a qual that disqualifies you. sometimes they use the word "block" for that, but it's not a block block, it's just a confusing choice of words. and for PC, it used to turn black if you were blocked, but now with the new worker site, unqual and block both turn purple. you can check the qual on the actual mturk page, if it's available, and you'll see whether or not there was a qual/disqual.

    if that page says you're qualified to do it, but still can't, then it's a block.
