    First time I opened it I got 75% of the way through it and it hit an error and wouldn't let me finish. Opened in a new window and finally finished the damn thing with like 5 seconds left on the timer. Freaking 9 minute timer on a $5 hit :lol: Hope you manage to catch a return or he releases another batch of it.

    I just got my notify reminder from "everyday astronaut" on YouTube... I think the launch is 11:30 EST this time (was supposed to go last week)

    They're launching the first 60 of their production ready Starlink internet service satellites tonight.

    Check SpaceX's website if you don't want to watch a 3rd party.

    I've seen a LOT of tasks with short timers recently. Not sure if anyone else is noticing them, or I'm just doing more work and seeing them now that they were always there?

    I think it's a lot of newb requesters who don't understand the difference between the timer and the expire time. Also that the timer runs while it's in the queue. My guess is they think if the task is going to take 9 minutes they put a 9 minute timer on it :dunno: I'm guessing per usual the MTurk requester side is as intuitive as rocket surgery and new reqs have no clue as to what all the inputs actually are.

    Pros:
    You had to be screened for this 'game' by playing in previous games.
    Cons:
    The game consists of a single Inquisit-like task that has you just pressing keys for a pre-defined image. It's not even a game, it's just a stupid IAT masquerading as a game. There are unnecessarily long timers between every single round of the task, so this inevitably takes up longer than you want it to.

    Before and after the IAT are bubbly surveys with bubbles that have colors blending into each other, so it's hard to see what you clicked on. The drop-down menus also take a while to drop down and update your answers. This adds to how annoying this 'game' was.

    To be fair too, if they slap a 72 hour timer on something as well, they're not going to be able to process results for 72 hours. Shorter timers = shorter turnaround time.

    Not saying I agree with it, but that's another plausible reason. When I was putting out work that I wanted to process in an hour, I'd set the timer to like 20 mins MAX, because otherwise I'd be sitting around tapping my shoes until the cows came home.
