¹ Participants (N = 201) were recruited from Amazon’s Mechanical Turk service, restricted to people in the United States, with an approval rating of 95% or above and more than 500 approved HITs. Participants were compensated for their participation. The sample size was chosen in advance, given an expectation of medium effect sizes. The data were not analyzed until all participants had responded. Six participants were excluded for failing an attention check, as explained below. What I think is that a lot of this repetitive crap should be covered in profiling surveys, similar to the ones Amazon now provides. There we'd record our basic demographic data, and some of our general attitudes and beliefs as well. — In exchange for that, we'd be required to keep that information updated. And also in exchange, requesters could be asked to use the profile data (instead of asking us questions we've answered hundreds of times before).

Happy Memorial Day!

Kiddo and I have been laying flowers picked from our garden for 12?13? years now (can't remember what year I started this tradition with him) at the memorial in front of our county courthouse.
