My dad still uses his. And he has so many CDs he regularly listens to.

 

once you get Dragon NaturallySpeaking fine-tuned in the settings, and it acclimatize is itself to your voice and how you speak, it really goes to town. I don't use it just because I want to I use it, but because I have to. I'm no longer able to type with a regular keyboard due to injuries from an auto accident in 1991, so Dragon NaturallySpeaking is essential for me. Otherwise I'm stuck with an on-screen keyboard ala Mickeysoft and that is slower than molasses on New Year's day at the Arctic Pole. I do have to remember to do a good job of proofreading before I hit that reply button or submit button otherwise, it does have a tendency from time to time to think it's one of those "voice operated assistants" on a cell phone that has AutoCorrect going crazy.

 

I'm going to guess I'm the same age (or older) than your dad. I listen to my phone mostly, lol. But I will whip out CDs now. The stereo I have in my living room broke I just noticed. Can't play CDs anymore on it. Only cassette tapes and the FM tuner, lol. Probably time to get rid of that thing. I still have a cassette Walkman in the garage should I get desperate to listen to my recorded straight of the radio when I was in grade school cassettes.

 

I used to have a bunch of those. Also, you're a bit younger than my dad, I think. My old man also still has some 8 tracks.

I have all my CDs sitting in a shoebox stashed in a deep dark corner of my room, but I don't have a player to listen to them on.

 

So, anyone getting these Yoel Inbar emails? None of his HIT IDs work. sigh

 

Sad to say, there will be a lot of these; because the wildfires are already starting here. My cousin helps stock the command posts for the fires and they are having a big problem with tweakers stealing things.
