    Movies are hard. There's always going to be a loss of a lot of character introspection and depth when adapting from a book because you simply cannot feasibly show what a character is thinking vs. what you can do in print.

    this is why I read the books first and then watch the movie to see a physical representation of the writing and to see if it matches up to what I imagined from the text. I don't hate any of the SK-book-to-movies/miniseries. I just enjoy the ride.
