Yep. That came up on our caller ID at work. Super not interested in working with this person. I should think that's funny considering how often I use the word myself but...when my first intro to you is telling me to eff off, I'm judgy as fuck.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was trying to figure out which one of my neighbors started turking.

 

Of course. And I don't like them because they hurt other PhDs.

Just like I don't like ash hole doctors, or cops, or cashiers, or waitresses. The few morons give everyone a bad name.

Yeah, there's a time and a place for that kind of thing, but it's probably not a great idea when they're applying for a place to live

 

Also, conversation in a recent staff meeting at a super popular university that posts here went something like this,

"What is wrong with PhD students today? They can't think for themselves. They got here by checking all the boxes and doing all the right things to get into this Uni, but they had parents who told them what to do and how to do it and now they have no clue how to think for themselves."

So, @ChrisTurk , your job is about to get much more frustrating as we soon have a crop of can't think for themselves PhDs posting studies here.

I've been getting connection timeouts all day on surveys from app.cloudresearch.com. I assume it's Turkprime, but not sure. I see other people are submitting reviews though.

Am I forgetting about something obvious to fix this? I've tried waiting, disabling scripts, and clearing cookies. I've ended up returning quite a few hits.

 

When I was in college, I had the email address "motherforker@pitt.edu" until they took it away from me.

 

TP is rebranding, which means just like MTurk's cluster fiesta transitioning from www => worker there are gonna be lots of explodies.

Or like.. any time I touch anything on a server but yes TP is now cloud research
