1. The forum & main site will stay up indefinitely after MTurk shuts down in case anyone needs anything. I assume a handful of things will break after MTurk vaporizes & I'll fix it as fast as I can to keep the two main parts of the site online.

    Newbie here since Oct 5. Have heard about MTurk for years and have finally decided to see what it's all about. Wow -- there is a lot to learn. I have been enjoying (ok, kinda) the last few weeks, doing some HITS, trying to use my time wisely as I get acclimated to this wild and wacky world of MTurking.

    I do part time work from home in northern California. Since August there's been a slowdown in my regular projects, so I'm finding that Turking is helping to keep my mind active by doing the HITs and organizing my workflow (using MTurk Suite & TurkerView), plus learning new things is always great for my ole brain.

    My next step will be to get acquainted to making reviews. I've found TurkerView and Turkopticon to be amazing & so helpful. I actually have a fairly deep Include List and of course a Block List. Wow again!

    I look forward to sharing with everyone on the boards.
