It just occurs to me after hitting post I just divulged the private convo anyway so .. that's unfortunate & I'm a dumbass

 

The Choice Lab giveth and they taketh away. Maybe when 26 expires I'll be able to do 27.

Also, anyone notice the change? Only 6 to fill out (weren't there 7 before?) and the bonuses start with 2.5 and I swore it was 2.2 before.

 

I don't think so, I know someone else who did them back to back and he isn't locked out.

 

I agree with your sentiment of course but there is also a huge difference in cost in these 3 situations:

1) hire people to recruit and maintain a representative sample to do your survey
2) pay people to come to your lab - a 5 minute survey becomes an hour roundtrip drive to a campus plus paying for parking
3) pay for 5 minutes of time of someone already sitting at their computer

I wonder if the dude talking about result replication for his mturk studies factored in pay rates. Run your test group at $1/hr and then again at $15/hr. Maybe you can still replicate results but I would need to see data before believing it's the same.
