That's too far! That's near snuff-tier torture!

 

As the kids got older we always encouraged them to chip into help pay for stuff and they didn't go on EVERY trip or to EVERY camp but if one was required for scouts or whatever we payed for it or helped. Hockey especially was expensive and the league my kids played on didn't do a lot of fundraisers and we had 2-3 kids playing. We found a local sub shop that made really awesome subs and sandwiches and and made arrangements with the owner to do multiple fundraisers every year. So for 4 years my kids were out pedaling subs to make money for hockey when they where to young to get jobs. got to the point a lot of people watched for them to come to their neighborhood put in an order for the next time when we delivered their subs

Keefe was in the same minor hockey system as me, only a few years older. He played with my friend's older brother, so I heard his name around quite a bit. He was part of the whole David Frost group, and I'd like to think that something like this could never happen again. This is the extreme end of this culture, but it's not like this was 50 years ago.
