We should've called him Heisenberg.

A good chunk of the time we can hear him scampering around at full speed, but we can't tell how fast he's going.

Then there's another good chunk of the time where we know he's asleep, but we're not sure where in the house he is.

(Also, because he's mostly black, when he curls up inside the cat caves you can't tell he's in there because he's so dark he disappears, and then you can only determine if he's in there by sticking your hand inside and see if it contacts something that feels like a cat.)
