My fav combo is Wendys chili and KFC slaw. dunno why but those to just go together really well on a hot dog.

 

I think I've only had one real chili dog in my life, when I was in high school... that was a tasty hot dog.

 

I don't eat a lot of fast food anymore, but I might just have to give that a go.

How the heck do you live in NC and never have had a proper chili dog? Most people around here also put slaw on theirs, as well.

 

A&W makes a damn fine coney dog. (that's chili and cheese on a footlong)

 

There may have been others that I just don't remember We didn't eat out much growing up, and never had that kind of chili at home so our hot dogs were chili-free.
