Hi Everyone! Wanted to let you know some updates regarding our hits. Recently we delayed the payment of our hits for several days. The reason we did this was due to a handful of users who would simply bang out a few hundred or thousand hits in one sitting for a quick cash grab by marking everything as unsuitable or simply inputting nonsensical data repeatedly, knowing that we would approve and pay instantly. As you can appreciate, that damaged our product greatly, as well as our confidence in mturk. Our immediate payment and acceptance of hits did not give us the time to uncover these issues and pursue the offending workers.Important to note, is that we have NEVER rejected a worker. Ever. So have no fear that mistakes ruin your rating, as we totally understand your statistics is your resume and that a rejection will harm your ability to garner more work elsewhere. We don't want that. That is why we have never rejected any hit, even though some mistakes have been glaringly poor! This delay has afforded us the window to clean out offending workers which has represented the bulk of poor data we have received from mturk. We want our hits to be coveted, and completed expeditiously and accurately. As such, we have raised the pay on our pricing hits by 5 cents across the board. We have raised description hits by 1 cent, and class type hits by 1 cent. It's not a lot, but it's no small increase either. For those that appreciate this increase, we request your best work, so that we can continue to build a perfect team and increase our pay to reward a constant flow of flawless work from our workers. While we will not reject any workers, we are building out a system launching soon which allows us to simply make the changes on our end to any hits not performed correctly, in turn the worker will see what changes were made to the hit, so that the worker has the real feedback regarding their mistakes by seeing exactly what was changed. Additionally, our system also logs the amount of corrections per worker, so that when recurring corrections reach our internal threshold of acceptance, our system will revoke the qualification. We trust that is fair. This will remove all the personal responses from our team which to date often sound like responses from the DMV should political correctness not exist and they were allowed to say whatever was on their mind without fear of losing their job (sorry for all that by the way - it just gets frustrating on our end as many other jobs and revenues depend on the work provided by mturk). So, in a nutshell, 5 cent increase on all pricing hits, 1 cent on description, 1 cent on class type. 3 day delay still exists, no one will get rejected, give us your best work, let us build the perfect worker team, and then we can raise prices again in relation to the quality of hit data provided. First, we need your help to clear out our backlog please. Sounds good?
