I was hearing the biggest complaint atm for nurses/docs is the lack of ppe and them being 'requested'(read:forced) to rewear ppe due to shortages.

Today was the last day we are going out. We legit wore full n95 mask and gloves and sanitized everything we brought in. I keep telling these chickens they need to start popping out eggs now to pay their room and board. No free loaders here.

I'm still seeing people just hugging and kissing on the cheek down here. I don't know what it's going to take for these people to actually become serious about this.

 

huggies wipes are garbage. I'd use sandpaper before buying those again.

 

I mean I had to. My family needed food. I wore gloves into every store and sanitized and switched gloves between each store. I didn’t hoard but bought wisely to last. I threw my clothes immediately into the washer like I do after work each day and showered right away. That was just to go into the place these people are working every day. I am still working, see Tom many people not taking it seriously every day. Those that go out simply because they have to provide for their family be it food or money are hero’s

My Walgreens was super stocked on everything, had every 6 feet taped off on the floor, a nonstop audio loop playing about the importance of keeping your distance, don't touch anything you're not going to buy, make your trip as quick as possible, don't touch your face, etc. The cashier wiped everything down, and there was only like 3 of us in the store. So, fwiw, if anyone needs to choose any store, Walgreens gets an A+ from me.

I also do the same. Wiped everything down I bought, then wiped down everything I touched in the meantime, then showered, changed my clothes completely, left my shoes on the porch. I'm fully aware this is giving me even more anxiety, but if my worthless anxious lil brain wants to finally save my life + other people's lives instead of freaking out over the usual trivial shit, I'm all for it.

 

I keep going for people who are at risk and are too afraid to go.

one of our local places is super stocked up on toilet paper right now and still limiting to one per person so they'll have it for a while. I predict I'll be there at least twice next week getting stuff for friends and family.

 

For what it's worth, here's a temporary bit of nostalgia.
