    That's a good idea.

    But what they're saying lines up with what I've been noticing. I just didn't want to accept it. I wanted to pay $80 for just some brake pads.

    Besides, I'm like the perfect person to take advantage of anyway. I let the car go too far (brakes are metal on metal) and I have no time in the next few weeks to take it anywhere. Today was it. So if they said $1000, I'd be paying $1000.
