The psychology of color is an important study. One you don't see references to much any more. Interior designers, paint companies, clothing designers, psychologists, and artists all use the psychology of color to control the statement their work makes. ..Think. What color of balloon do you bring to the new baby boy/girl in the hospital? Color is associated with all kinds of things--good as well as bad. Red roses for true love, white for purity(unless you're going to a Chinese funeral--white, not black--or a wedding--red not white. The colors you choose say a lot about you. More than you can ever imagine. They can pin down your race, religion, country, era, traumas, orientation, even state residence. Your colors make it plain to anyone who can read them.

 

Actually that is scarlet red, which is a warm red. As opposed to crimson which is a cool red, leaning toward blue, not yellow. Your color choice could also be called Chinese red, or cinnabar red, from place of origin.
