Pretty sure I'm done for the night. I was almost happy with my mturk coins - but after reading some of the posts here, I discovered what my real goal is.... Tomatoes. A thick, tasty, and juicy tomato. Haven't had one in months!

And yeah, I'm done Turking. I fixed my Money Order issue, and now have $2k in my wallet. Been talking with the dude I'm gonna buy my next truck from and my motivation is zip. zilch. zero. I hit 3/4 goal today and I'm looking forward to 7pm tomorrow.

You're going to rebuild the transmission? And you're not paying asking price right? The price seems really high for its age.

 

Nah. It's $160 for a rebuild kit. I'm gonna look the frame over, listen to her run, and go from there. Dude says it slips gently between gears, so that's the clutch pack. Once I get her back here and in the shop and can do a complete inspection, it'll either just be a simple tranny rebuild, or if the whole girl is sturdy I'll pull the whole drivetrain and rebuild from timing chain cover to tailshaft housing.

 

Oh ok. Well I hope it's what you're looking for and not too much work. My mom and an uncle had to mess with rods or something in an engine years ago and I remember that nightmare like it was yesterday.
