    A trick you can use after they have been laying for a bit is to take a few eggs and put them in the nest (or where ever you want them to lay)... they seem to like to lay where others are laying so it's basically tricking them.


    I still have this one chicken that likes to lay in the hole they made in the dirt. I think the dirt is cool though so maybe it's a way to stay cool.

    I'mma get some of those cheap fake ceramic eggs and toss those in the nesting box and hope that works. Right now they keep trying to peck the egg and the last thing I want is an egg eater

    If you haven't already it's probably time to switch to laying pellets/crumbles because they will eat the eggs if they are lacking calcium. I actually feed the shells back to them (I just toss them in the run) but I smash them up into little pieces/dust first.
