    I removed a thread of an unnamed entity attempting to recruit workers for a meta study on MTurk (so like, asking about your mturk story, yadda).

    It paid $6 for "a good amount of writing" and an estimate of 30 minutes with a potential bonus of $2, then a follow-up interview over Zoom for $12 + potential $4 bonus estimated at 40 minutes.

    I don't know the source, nor have they identified themselves, but if you want to engage in this sort of thing you can send me a DM and I'll hand over the original thread materials to you. Currently I removed these threads as they are a violation of your agreement with MTurk under Section 3b (v) that reads [bold and underline styling of relevant material mine]:

    My personal POV is that engaging in these sort of "studies" does more harm than good in every instance I have seen across the last 3 years. Regardless of my personal feels they are ultimately removed here because they force you to violate your participation agreement with Amazon and put both your account and our standing with Amazon at risk. Still, I don't believe unilaterally removing earning opportunities is right so am offering the materials through DM if you want to assess your individual risk tolerance yourself.

    Will try to find a more formal process for this, but for now this is all I got.
