Not to be rude, but is that lump of the left side of the photo part of your eye socket?

 

I went on a 4hrs of sleep over 3 days rant after something personal came up aimed at a certain nationality that was unfair and should've never been brought up during the very early days of my treatment when I didn't know how to manage my exhaustion/fatigue/side effects of daily radiation poisoning.

Thanks. I'm all clear for now, but they want me to go back for full-body scans every 3 months for the next two years to make sure it hasn't spread since the surgery itself could've released cancer cells into my bloodstream. Yay.

 

Well, I hope you are sleeping better now. The past is the past. Move forward and be the best you, that you can be. That's all any of us can do.

Not rude at all. I posted a bunch of pics that I hosted on Imgur right after the surgery. Yeah.

Spoiler: Verbally squeamish stuff, but no pics this time

They removed my eye, forcibly yanked as much of the optic nerve as they could out, scraped the socket clean down to the bone, then took a chunk of thigh muscle from my hip to my knee along with a vein (that they laparoscopilally ran down through my cheek into my carotid and jugular) and stuffed the socket to protect my brain and sinus. They overstuffed it because the proton therapy was/is gonna kill off a large amount of the muscle, and because it's muscle, it's gonna atrophy down to a base state. They put enough in that if I decide on a prosthetic eye, they won't have to stuff any more tissue in there.

It really says a lot about your forum that a) you wouldn't ban him for extremely vile racism said offsite and b) when he finally did bring his racism here, he's still allowed to post?

 

Man... I'm really sorry. I've had some family member go through some pretty extreme forms of chemo and radiation, but nothing quite like that. I know you mentioned your treatment before, but I didn't imagine anything quite so invasive.
