Lol.. I have one of those....sometimes I get cranky and throw a blanket over it. In theory I could just turn it off, but then I wouldn't be getting all the healing vitamin D rays through the blanket.

I don't think they produce vitamin d do they? I only just started googling the thing because my face actually feels like its burning lol

Well in this case I understood the implications but really wanted to use it so I was just hoping no one would say anything

My one day review is it's an excellent way to make sure you can't see a darn thing once it turns off

 

No they definitely don't directly produce vitamin D. It's more just a way to regulate light/sun in dark winter months which helps with your endocrine system etc. (For the record I also actually have to take Vitamin D )



Also how I feel every time I turn on my light. Every time

 

On a side note... really your face shouldn't be burning. You should definitely have your light feet away (mine is the corner of my desk on a timer) and you shouldn't have any eyeball blindness.

If that is happening, maybe.... wear sunscreen?

 

And shades...

 

I just tossed it under my monitors lol, it was definitely warm and once it turned off I had the floaties going around for a few min but I think I'm back to the normal blinding of my PC monitors & light themes everywhere

 

They probably sent you the wrong item and sent you a tanning light instead.

Probably not, but I do like it. She got it to make fun of me for always being locked away in my dark office so I wouldn't really take my advice here lmao.

It says 10x lux at 4" away from your face.. I have no fking clue how you'd work like that but I'm sure it's safe right?
