I've been cleaning out my email box and closing accounts I don't want anymore. got rid of like 6,000 emails. but there are like maybe 15,000 more. and that's only 1 email address. never doing that again. going to try to not have accounts anymore unless I have to.

 

do you guys have that many emails or just me? and I've found at least 20 accounts I had forgotten about so far.

 

i have two accounts i neglect/neglected, one was a catch all for junk and another was one i was forced to make WAY back in highschool. the one i looked at a month ago and there was something like 12k emails unread. i started going through them and i had emails back as far as 2001 unread (oops!). the other has only like 3 or 4k since it was one i just used to sign up for junk i didnt wanna get spam emails from.

 

what in the world...I had at least 40,000 emails in 2 email addresses since 2017. I think I've been interneting wrong.

 

lol well one account (the super old high school one) had a decent spam filter for almost 2 decades it seemed, it only just in the last 2 or so years (that i saw) started getting a ton of spam email that bypassed the filter and went to the main inbox

 

yuck...maybe I should set up new email addresses that no one knows about and close these ones.

 

eh i wouldnt, just use the spam filter to knock out most of the junk and you can always use them as "throwaway" emails for surveys and such as a worst case.
